Description

The central design features a coiled, intricately detailed snake with prominent scales, set against a background of willow branches hanging above a riverbank landscape. The design captures the elegance and fluidity of the snake, with its head raised, suggesting a poised and watchful stance.

Auspicious animal symbol

Each animal of the lunar zodiac is said to bestow its dominant characteristics on those born during its rule. The sixth of 12 auspicious animal symbols, the snake confers wisdom, intelligence, independence, and charm on those born under its influence in 2025, 2013, 2001, 1989, 1977 and every 12th preceding year.

Year of the Snake design

The coin’s reverse portrays a coiled snake on the ground beneath hanging leaves. Included in the design is the Chinese character for ‘snake’, the inscription ‘SNAKE 2025’, and The Perth Mint’s ‘P’ mintmark.

H.M. King Charles III effigy

The coin’s obverse bears the Dan Thorne effigy of His Majesty King Charles III, as well as the weight, fineness, and the monetary denomination.

For additional peace of mind, this 1oz coin incorporates an authentication feature in the form of a micro-laser engraved letter. Detectable under a magnifying glass, it is designed to make it significantly more difficult for the coin to be counterfeited.
